When it comes to spirituality, every religion and culture has something unique to offer. Some believe in achieving their passion by dancing along to trance music, as in Islamic Sufism or by acts of self-denial as in strict Catholic beliefs.

No one is born to believe in a particular religion. It is the way a child is raised and then what he chooses to believe in that determines the religion he will follow. The most powerful connection of this determination is with the faith that a person has in himself.

One aspect of this faith then is Mysticism.

Mysticism or sometimes known as mystery religion is a conscious awareness of reality that is superior and definitive. The reality for many people this is the closeness that is attained through various means with God.

The concept of God is difficult for the human brain to accept given the scientific explanation that is present for every transaction that takes place in this world. It is oddly difficult to understand the power and existence of beings, stronger and more independent than all other beings, who control the processes that occur in this world.

This, which cannot be heard, seen or touched, can only be experienced through feeling, which also cannot be described physically. What explains this feeling then is the concept of Mysticism.

In Mahayana Buddhism, Mysticism refers to the union of humans, in a unique and very intrinsic relationship, with definitive reality. Followers of Buddhism, who are also practitioners of Mysticism, work towards the maintenance and further formation of these connections through various means.

These means can include meditation, dancing, performing standard rituals, singing, singing along with various other people.

What’s interesting about this concept is that it doesn’t bind people to any particular religion. This means that if a person practices Sufism to develop a relationship with Allah, then, by no means does such a relationship cannot be formed in Hindu Christianity. The fact of the matter is that not only are the paths leading to attaining these connections very similar to each other, the purpose of these paths is also and that is the development of unity with ultimate truth, as previously mentioned.

According to the history of Mysticism, its roots are found in the sub-continent, especially with Buddhism, Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. However, researchers working on this topic are based on the view that mysticism is significantly different from any of the many religious practices of the school and that the most important requirements for practicing this of all are faith, determination and concentration. It is a later element, which has nothing or very little to do with the type of religion one follows. The only part that the respective religion of a person who chooses to practice the game of mysticism is determining the type of practice he or she does.

There are parts of existence today that not everyone is aware of.

Usually seeing today, people fighting over religion, trying to prove they are people on the right religious path but it is unusual to find people who easily accept other people of a different religion into a movement, which helps to survive the chaos which has now been created by the emergence of the Age of Aquarius.

For those who believe and for those who see beyond this societal limiting dogma, the New Age movement is a spiritual movement that combines metaphysical and spiritual teachings in a combination of eastern and western traditions and religions.

As noted above, the new age movement does not differentiate people based on their traditions or religions and therefore, the view it presents to the world today is a holistic one which again combines both science and spirit.

The idea of this is to incorporate and utilize knowledge and traditions that already help certain sects of people to provide peaceful assistance to others as well.
